MICROSTATION 3D MODELER

EBA Engineering, Inc., a growing engineering firm with employees throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, is immediately seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a 3D Modeler to work out of our Laurel, MD location on a large transportation project. Due to COVID conditions, however, the selected candidate will presently be allowed to work from their home.

All candidates must be familiar with design build construction projects and be responsible for:

  • Preparing a 3D model using MicroStation V8i + Geopak SS4 / OpenBridge Modeler with existing 2D drawings and design to reflect existing conditions and proposed conditions.
  • Make updates to the 3D Model based on changes to the 2D design.
  • Works with 3D Model Manager.

Job Requirements include:

  •  Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field, plus at least three to five years of related work experience: or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Experience using MicroStation V8i design software in 2D and 3D (Required)
  • Experience working with and creating 3D cells in MicroStation (Required)
  • Experience in layout for roadway / bridge projects. (Required).
  • Modeling and detailing experience using SUDA (Subsurface design and utility analysis) software. (Desired but not Required).
  • Modeling and detailing experience using OpenBridge software (Desired but not Required).J

The qualified candidate will have specialized knowledge and ability in the following areas:

  • Proficient in MicroStation V8i software and Geopak SS4 or OpenBridge Modeler SS3.
  • Able to generate 3D models from 2D drawings, sketches and specifications.
  • Familiar with design parameters related to bridge and roadway design.
  • Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.

 Employment Requirements

  • U.S. citizen, Green Card resident, or work authorization in the United States
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal, state, and local security background check
  • Pre-employment drug screening  

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
